Hi guys! I went with some people from my French class (including my teacher) to see Stromae. For those who don't know, he's a singer from Belgium (he sings in French) and he's pretty well-known in Europe. Our teacher was the one that originally introduced him to us in 2014, and when we heard that he would be coming to Oakland for a concert, we knew we had to go!

By the way, sorry for the low quality of the pictures. I wasn't allowed to bring my camera in so I used my phone, but it was pretty dark.

Here are three video clips that I took during the concert!

The following picture is my photo but it's sized differently because I uploaded it onto Tumblr previously (and cropped it) but deleted the original image :(

It was my first time at a concert so I was super excited! The venue, Fox Theatre, was absolutely beautiful.

Of course, there were tons of flashing lights during the show but I was okay with it. The music was loud and sometimes the ground would shudder because of the bass.

Stromae had a great sense of humor and said some things that made us laugh. He told a joke that I still remember word for word.

"Two eggs were in a refrigerator. One of them said to the other, 'Why are you green, and why do you have hair?' The other looks at him and says, 'I'm a kiwi, asshole.'"

Thank you for reading this post! Feel free to check out Stromae's music any time. My personal favorites are "Papaoutai," "Tous les Mêmes," and "Formidable."
