June 28th - July 1st

Hello! I'm excited to post about Italy. It was one of my favorite countries to visit, aside from France and Austria.

The first place we went to was Venice.

After driving by the water, we stopped somewhere to take a boat to reach Venice!

I thought all the buildings looked really unique. San Marco’s Basilica (or church) was here and went in it. It was in a square, and there were other buildings nearby

After walking around for a bit, we went on the gondola ride! I'm not too sure how to describe it, but it's very famous here. A few people sit down on a canoe, and someone takes you around to see more of Venice.

I'm not sure what this building is, but it's beautiful!

A better view of the gondola ride. The people in striped shirts steered the canoe and took us around. They stood the whole time - must've taken awhile to learn how to balance perfectly! I remember them using their feet to push off of walls to take us to a new direction.

After that,  we walked around for a bit before taking a boat home. But before that, I saw an enlightening sign (just kidding).

On the following day, we went to Florence! You've probably learned a bit about Florence in your history books. It's known for being the birthplace of Renaissance ;u;

Gates of Paradise:

On the third day, we ventured to Rome! We saw the Colosseum, which was stunning.

After that, we headed for the Vatican. My mom and grandma are Catholic so this place was extra special for them ^^

This place looked amazing and the ceiling was one of the best parts. There's so much detail in everything.

And at last, St. Paul's Basilica! To my understanding, this is the biggest or most important church for Catholics.

On the next day, we went to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Before that, we drove past this huge sunflower field ;w;

There were some staircases on the way to the top but it wasn't too bad ^^
The top!
The view from the top was pretty cool!

During the afternoon, we headed towards Monte Carlo.

We just walked around for a bit and took pictures, but we didn't do too much or go inside of any buildings. In front of a certain building were tons of luxury cars, and tons of tourists took pictures there.

Before the day ended, we headed to France and stopped to see a beach in Nice. Afterwards, we went to our hotel (either in Nice or Cannes, I forgot).

 I hope you enjoyed this post ;w; thank you for reading! Off to the last place - France.
